Heavily milled G10 scales, stainless steel liners, and expressive styling take the 495 Vector AXIS Assist flipper in an entirely different direction. Sized like a tactical blade with a feeling in the hand of a true EDC tool, the Vector can and will do everything you ask of it.
This model features contoured black G10 handles and a satin CPM-S30V stainless steel blade. Comes with satin hardware and reversible deep carry pocket clip. Brand new in box.

Weakness with blemish
As a pocketknife collector, user and have a large EDC rotation, I totally dislike "benchmade.com/pat" laser marked on the blade. Benchmade logo, blade steel and perhaps design partnership name should speak for itself. We all know where to search and shop for knives in this day and age. More advertisement on your blade is a show of weakness in your name/logo/trademark/confidence in the knife market and now aiming to capture lucky hobbyist with metal detectors that need direction to their valuable find. That said; I very much like the knife itself overall. Fit, form function are great for my XL glove size hand. The upgrade hardware on the pocket clip, pivot and axis are fantastic. The lines / shape alignment / handle to blade are beautiful and one of Benchmade's better efforts in my opinion. However, my blade edge came with a very small flat where it meets the back center spacer when closed. Tolerances measured with my calipers proved too tight in my opinion and appears my knife skated through Benchmade's high volume builds and apparent wide quality bell curve. It appears that they care less about the true user or the detailed collector and instead advertise to the metal detector hobbyist. Would have been a 5 star without the blade blemish and the .com advertising.
