This is a vintage original Buck Knife with a finger grooved black phenolic handle. Satin finished 440C stainless steel clip point blade with blood grooves on both sides. Aluminum guard and pommel with brown micarta spacers. Tang stamped BUCK U.S.A. indicating this knife is from the 1967-1972 Vietnam era. For the outdoorsmen who prefers the absolute solid feel of a fixed blade, Buck's best selling Model 119 Special sets the standard by which others are measured. Hoyt and Al Buck used to build them by hand in their two-man shop. Today, this larger hunting knife with a large clip blade for detail work, piercing and cutting in tight places for added control, is as popular as ever. Includes original Buck black leather sheath.
