Gerber Legendary Blades was established in 1938, and began its own manufacturing in 1945. Two decades later Gerber began to build its own big factory at 14200 Southwest 72nd ave in Portland, Oregon, still its home today. This Gerber knife was the first folder they had ever made. Designed by Francis Ham Gerber. This radical new product was inspired by Thomas Lambs 1945 Patent Handle. Like some 18th century french folders the Gerber Folding Lock Back Hunter has no visible rivets. Checkered walnut Handles. Pristine Mint with Original Box and Gerber Leather sheath.
