Microtech + Star Wars is Always a Win
I am a long time Microtech fan, and of course Star Wars, and the SW themed knives have been a hit. The normal Stormtropper knives are beautiful but I find these Sandtrooper themed knives are just amazing. The coloring and texture looks like it's been well-used by a Stormtrooper who served a long stint of action and battles while stationed on a desert planet. You can see the grain, grit, and wear on the handle and blade; the detail is almost absurd to the point that it looks like a movie prop. The quality of the finish goes beyond the detailed appearance, as the coating is very durable; it isn't scratching off or getting damaged easily. I don't know if they used ceracoat or something similar, but it's on there to stay. Of course, the knife itself is the usual Microtech excellence. The Combat Troodon is a fantastic design that you almost have to hold and feel to truly appreciate how great it is. The blade fires nice and hard, slamming into place with a satisfying sound and is wickedly sharp. The handle feels secure in your hand for all cutting tasks, and the window breaker is an always welcome addition. While these knives can be on the pricier side, they are worth it in quality, durability, and absolute badassness.
