Microtech UTX-85 T/E Black Tactical Standard 233-1T
Microtech has updated and refined the UTX-85 model. It features improved ergonomics, with rounded handle faces, and patches of grooves along the sides to ensure excellent grip. The firing button has been redesigned to increase surface contact for effective engagement, and the glass breaker has a ball-tip set in the trip-angle pattern base to increase its everyday carry manners. Based on the Ultratech platform, the UTX-85 is scaled down to 85% of its length. The UTX-85 is an appealing option for those who prefer a smaller EDC knife and value Microtech's high-performance out-the-front action and exceptional build quality.
This model features a black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle with the Microtech Claw logo on the front. Black finished M390 stainless steel tanto blade. Black tactical finished hardware, pocket clip, and glass breaker tip. The blade has the model information. The pocket clip has the Microtech logo, serial number, and production date. Brand new in box.

UTX 85
A couple firsts for me here: first Microtech and first purchase at AmericanEdge. The knife arrived with a very nice edge, it will lead a pretty easy life as most always within reach are somewhat lesser knives for more abusive work. It’ll still be of interest to see how long it holds its edge. The seller was picked 90% because of the best selection of these knives in stock and as a bonus the personalized attention from a family owned shop will keep me coming back.
