Beautiful antique brown jigged bone handle scales in superb condition. High carbon steel clip point blade that is swedged with a long nail pull. The blade is full and has an excellent patina. Tang stamped HAMMER BRAND - NEW YORK KNIFE CO. WALDEN. The blade locks open with a really positive lock. Fluted steel front bolsters. Nickel silver rear bolsters stamped with the New York Knife Company logo. Nickel silver bail and fancy inlaid bow tie sheild. Brass liners and handle pins. A truly beautiful example of an antique coke bottle hunter that was proudly made in Walden, New York U.S.A. by the New York Knife Company circa 1856 to 1931. Comes in black zip up pouch.
