The Protech Ciabatta is a completely new idea in folding knives. The mechanism is Spring Assisted because the knife can only be opened with pressure applied to the blade, and there is a detent that keeps the blade in the closed position so that it cannot be flipped open with gravity. The Pin Lock Ultra Safety (PLUS) mechanism will take a few minutes to become familiar with. Since this knife opens and closes in a completely different manner than other knives, be sure to take some time to review the instruction sheet included with each knife. Kind a of like the old Roy Rogers trick knives.

This model has black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle scales, the front scale is etched with the Blackie Collins logo. Satin finished 154-CM stainless steel bayonet style spear point blade. Satin finished hardware and a black tip up carry pocket clip. Long discontinued and hard to find. A must have for any Pro-Tech/Blackie Collins collection. Brand new in box.
