This knife has a simple yet sophisticated design. Beautiful genuine antique stag handle. Hand forged and polished 1095 high carbon steel bowie blade with a clay tempered hamon line. Dark antique bronze finished guard and pommel. The spine is stamped R.B. JOHNSON. This is a gorgeous early vintage R.B. Johnson custom bowie knife. R.B. only made one large knife over 9 inches like this per year since he started in the 1970's and some years he didn't make any at all. A rare and beautiful find from R.B. Johnson.
