Inspired by the book 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, we wanted this to be the sort of knife that Captain Nemo himself would carry. Featuring a custom cut, hand ground Alabama random Damascus blade, a silicon aluminum bronze handle, and our chain drive opening mechanism, this knife is exactly what Nemo would use. The handles were designed in an aluminum bronze with a texture similar to the hull of submarine, complete with a fully functional iris and portholes to view the fual springs and chain. The swirls in the Damascus steel blade recall the swirling colors of the ocean. The zippered case is made from sharkskin, a most suitable covering.
The MRX represents four firsts in knife making: Operates on a miniature roller chain, Blade pivots on a permanently lubricated ball bearing washer system, Powered by dual nested right and left hand wound extension springs, Model name and manufacturer are concealed within handle for sterile look.
Additionally, it features a machine hand ground damascus blade, ergonomic contour, natural button placement, and class III hard coat anodized finish.
