After the start of World War II, KA-BAR submitted a knife to the United States Marine Corps. As the War escalated, the USMC KA-BAR knives became so well recognized for their quality and so abundant in number that "KABAR" became the name by which many referred to this knife pattern, regardless of whether the knife was manufactured at the actual KA-BAR facility. Ka-Bar partenered with Spartan Blades in 2019 and the new and improved KA-BAR was formed. The Ka-Bar has increased edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance.
This model features a black Kraton handle. Flat Dark Earth ZrN finished CPM-Magnacut clip point blade with standard cutting edge. The Blade features the Spartan Blades logo and steel information. Comes with black kydex sheath. Brand New in box. Made in the USA.
