The original SmallFly was a different take on the balisong butterfly knife. Back in the line up after a long hiatus, now with a flat ground drop point blade made of CPM-S30V. Skeletonized full stainless steel liners over the textured handle scales. The Round Holes at the butt end of both handles reflect Spyderco's iconic trademark and help achieve optimal balance for high speed flipping. Featuring a spring latch and removable, four way mountable wire pocket clip that acts as both a carry option and tactile index.
This limited edition distributor exclusive model features gray G-10 handle scales. Satin finished CPM-CruWear drop point blade. Satin finished hardware. Polished liners and pocket clip. These are a hot item! Brand new in box.

Great quality not such a great design
This knife is really well made. Expected from Spyderco. It just didn't fit my hand well. As a balisong it is just ok. I wanted to rate it mostly because I wanted to say how good American Edge is with customer service. Like I said it didn't fit my hand and therefore I didn't really like it. American Edge took it back no questions ask. I have since place an order for a different knife from American Edge. Great Store!

Awesome balisong. Not just a “flipper.”
For somebody who has been using a balisong, For 30 out of my 40 years? This Spyderco is everything you could ever want in a butterfly. If you are looking for a cheap, slippery gripped, piece of garbage, parlor trick. Junk knife? Look elsewhere. This Spyderco is pure quality, I love the grips. Very well done. As is the blade. It’s a far cry from the cheap, no name brand blade I got for my 10th birthday. The smallfly blade is perfect for edc, and gives fantastic cutting power. I would like to thank the American edge staff for answering my initial concerns. And the kind, thoughtful note that arrived with my package.
