Description
Zero Tolerance 0999 Frame Lock Flipper Titanium Carbon Fiber Composite Steel Limited Edition
Proudly made in the USA
Zero Tolerance built the 0999 to challenge assumptions about production knifemaking. Like where carbon fiber can go. Or that the handle and backspacer should be separate. Or that a blade can only be made from one kind of steel. With the 0999, ZT put all the options on the table. They challenged their design engineers to innovate. The result is a high performance knife with a remarkably open and airy look and some very unique features.
Let's start with the blade. It uses ZT's proprietary Composite Blade Technology to combine two steels into a single blade. The 0999 has CTS-204P on the cutting edge with CPM-D2 upper part of the blade. The blade cutout holds a carbon fiber insert that almost seems to float in the space. The frame lock and backspacer are milled from a single half-inch thick billet of titanium. The blade opens with a flipper and the KVT ball-bearing opening system. There's a cutout in the knife bridge that lets the flipper fly through the bridge, while the bridge itself doubles as a blade stop.
The oversized pivot features cutouts that reveal the polished washer beneath. The handle is lightweight carbon fiber with a titanium overlay; this contoured design provides a comfortable grip. As a finishing touch, the custom pocket clip is milled from solid titanium, too. Brand new in box, these sold out in under 60 seconds when they went on sale. Here is your shot at still owning one of these INCREDIBLE Zero Tolerance innovations! Serial Number #170.

Blade Material: CTS-204P/CPM-D2 Composite Steel
Handle Material: Titanium & Carbon Fiber
Blade length: 4-1/8
Closed Length: 5-5/8
